Description

A card draw version of a Simic Flash deck.

This is a fast midrange deck and a flash deck. Meaning that you will have to wait what you opponent does and react to that. If you opponent does nothing or at least noting significant that’s all the better because tan you can get out cards like Faerie Vandal, Nigtpack Ambusher or star drawing cards with Spectral Sailor.

The goal of the deck is to start drawing cards fast, find the cards you need to slow your opponent down so you can get in for damage. All the cards are quite low in mana cost enabling you to often play multiple cards in one turn.

Sea-Dasher Octopus is the star card of the deck goes well with Spectral Sialor, Gingerbrute and especially Faerie Vandal.

Faery Vandal is almost as important in this deck as Sea-Dasher Octopus because it can grow big enough quite fast to do some significant damage or become a good blocker. Cards like Growth Spiral, Opt or a Spectral Sailor and 4 untapped lands can make it grow at instant speed. Just the threat of being possibly abele to do this often deters an opponent from throwing a valuable creature in front of it when it is attacking.

Unsumon
Is a very versatile card that can help you save one or even two creatures in case of a Sea Dasher Octopus. It can also make way for an attack, slow your opponent down or get a Frilled Mystic back.

Weaknesses and Threats
The deck relies on combinations of cards and if you don’t get these combinations or they are being disrupted by your opponent playing for example a Shock or Disfigure on a mutated Sea-Dasher Octopus you could be in trouble.
Faster decks like mono red and especially mono red burn tend to outrace the deck if you do not have perfect draws. Against control decks a you should be wary about board wipes and if Teferi should hit the board and is not immediately taken care of it is usually game over.
